We made it. Well halfway anyway. Our shit is packed in a Relocube and hopefully on its way to California. I say hopefully because I still haven't gotten a confirmation notice from the company, and they haven't charged my credit card yet. If they haven't by tomorrow, I am going to have to make some very freaked out phone calls.
We managed to fit our lives into a 6 x 7 x 8 cube. Threw out a LOT of stuff. But got the essentials.
Now we're in NC visiting my family. Dad's new girlfriend is nice, I like her. My only question is: why does she like Dad?
Saw my mom's grave and cried forever. The headstone is nice, it's the first time I've seen it, it is weird seeing your last name on a headstone. I miss her.
Good to see my brother and his wife. Animals are only making me about 25% sick thanks to lots of claritin and steroid inhalers. \o/ Yay for modern medicine. Despite all the drugs I STILL have break through symptoms. Cats are my kryptonite.

glad the trip is going well! If you and wicked are still looking for a place out here, my complex still has apartments for end of december/early january. I don't know if he told you about them. he and i have known eachother for a few years and he heard i worked at an apartment complex in davis and we've got a pretty sweet set up.
