I get the same thing from my mother, and often from one of my more die-hard christian sisters. I usually just delete them if it is a mass-forward. If I missed anything really important I suppose they'd call. Well enjoy your weekend.

I hate that crap, mark it as spam. It sucks that you can't say what you really feel because people are so uptight about religion. but thats like they're forcing it on you. Like the jehovahs witnesses knocking on your door at dinner time.

I so sympathize with the writing thing. I'm working on some fiction right now but it's a long way's from making the rounds as yet. I hope I can interest some of my fav. authors though that usually is a long shot to get the hook-up that way. Keep trying -- it will happen!

LOL!! I hear ya...hockey's not for everyone. I only started liking it after the Hurricanes came here. I can't really comment on the Civil War stuff...I didn't even know about the Memorial Week.

Paganism is a very interesting subject to me. Pagan imagery and lyrics frequently pop up in some of my Metal groups that I like. You could probably teach me a lot about it.

You know, I had never thought of Memorial Day as a Union-specific day. American history was never my strong point. My family is all off the boat in the past century (Ireland and Italy). If you know anything about Ireland's Orange Order parades, *those* are some people who can't get over their civil wars... and they were the winners.

I have to say that states' rights is looking really good nowadays... too bad the GOP doesn't give a damn about that principle when it comes to medical marijuana, right to die, gay marriage, etc.

I've been to Ozzfest three times (99, 00, 05)... Ozzy isn't appearing at the NC show, which is too bad. He's actually high-energy at coherent when he's on stage.

Def Leppard and Journey? WTF? There is an amazingly bizarre "tribute to america" .swf that somebody wrote using "Don't Stop Believing"...

You really should sign up, even if just to chat to other people and see what they get up to, and if they have any advice etc

I wish we had thunderstorms here, but all we get are rain showers here in the the "unique" island we're on. I settled for a relaxing day swimming with rays out to the sandbar on the end of our beach's bay. Great times, it would have been better with a really hot woman thrown in. Good luck on that handyman fantasy and enjoyable explosion (makes me kind of envious )
