Inspired by one of my friend's blogs, where he realized he'd never eaten sushi before, I realized there are several commonplace things I've never done that I sort of pride myself on. So what are yours? You don't have to be proud of it necessarily...just think of a fairly ordinary thing that you've somehow avoided thus far in your life, despite having ample opportunity. (NOT something crazy like robbing a bank...come on people.) There are lotsa folks in 21st century America who have never seen the ocean or ridden a roller coaster or gone to the movies. Here's my top three:
1. Never changed a baby's diaper. (I never really babysat, don't have friends with babies, and don't want kids, so I may go my whole life without doing this.)
2. Never operated a cash register. It may not seem that weird, but I did work in retail for over 10 yrs. (I wasn't always on the sales floor, but when I was, I somehow avoided it.
)
3. Never smoked a cigarette. Seriously. (Not a tobacco cigarette, anyway
)
