I just saw two great things when I got on this here internet right now. The first thing was a news item about Axl Rose biting a security guard's leg in Sweden. Gotta love that crazy motherfucker. Well, you don't gotta love him, but you have to at least appreciate the sheer magnitude of his ego/mental illness/whatever you want to call it.
Then I got a stupid email from a coworker, one of those things I hate where it's been forwarded ten times and it keeps opening new windows. But it was actually worth looking at this time. Some European commercial, I couldn't understand the language, but a man and his son were grocery shopping and the little boy threw a big bag of candy into the cart. The father put it back, and the kid put it back in the cart. The father put it back again, and the kid screamed "No! I want the sweeties!" in subtitles, then he threw this big-ass tantrum, screaming and knocking stuff off the shelf and rolling around in the floor. Then it cuts to the dad's face, and he's sighing and looking like he wants to blow his brains out, and then the words "Use Condoms" come up on the screeen.
Oh, those Europeans are fucking geniuses when it comes to TV commercials. If they did that here, it would get yanked off in two seconds flat, first because some uptight religious group would have a stroke at the idea of advocating condom use, and then some uptight family values group would have a stroke at the idea that children might be unwanted and annoying. Anyway, it was funny.
Not much new otherwise, except monsoon season is not over yet and I just want to curl up on the couch with a book. It better not rain on July 4, is all I can say. *shakes fist at the rain gods*
Otherwise a shitload of contraband fireworks will go to waste, and my party guests will be holed up inside watching pornos or something.

I totally love the monsoon seasons we're having, but god damned if you're not right.... rain on the 4th of july is BAD BAD news!
