What was I smoking when I said I would be lonely today??? I didn't realize how bad I wanted some alone time. Especially since I didn't really HAVE a weekend last week cause of the adventures of Lee and Peanut. Unfortunately I may have to run an errand later but I will get some beer as a consolation prize. Unless I feel REALLY gutsy & drive 10 miles out of my way to the ABC.
My old friend Clay delivered us a pizza last night. He works close to us but usually if we order from there we go pick it up. He is so awesomely cool. I can't believe he's a father now! Anyway, he's a VERY good artist & he's almost done with the first of a series of comic books that will actually be sold in some stores here! I don't know if anybody's heard of it, but he made a movie (he was a producer I think, and did the sound) a couple of years ago called "Come Get Some." This hilarious black & white zombie movie, with elements of "Night of the Living Dead" and "Evil Dead"--basically about a town overtaken by zombies, which are then hunted by these three hot zombie killer girls (his sister played the zombie killer Ashlyn). Charlotte punk legends Antiseen were in the movie too, playing these backwoods vigilante types who say funny stuff like "The NAACP is gonna be on us like stink on rice." ANYWAY, Clay's comic book is going to be a "Come Get Some" series. It's for sure gonna be sold at Rebel Base in Charlotte, and probably some other stores. So if there are any comic or zombie nerds out there, be on the lookout for it.
