Hello SGLand!
It's been a very long time! I'm sorry I've not been writing here much.
Life has been rather stressful and busy. I work pretty much full time now, and with planning a wedding it doesn't leave me much time to do anything!
So today I decided to take the day off. I organised with a co-worker to have her cover my shift, which was really awesome of her to do, so I could have a well needed (and should I say well deserved?!) day of fun!
We met up with Sandra_Lee and took the hour train ride up to the city for the Supanova convention (it's like Comic Con but on a much smaller level). Well, all started off good. We picked her up and got to the train. No sooner than we sat down and Marty pulled out Isabel (our Camera, yes... I named her.
) he realized that he'd forgotten to put the battery back in after charging it! Uh Oh! So we quickly hurried off the train, and just in time I should say, because just as we stepped off the doors closed and off it went! Luckily we only live like 5 minutes away, so we zoomed back home and got the battery.
So we get back to the station just in time for the next train and goof around on our phones playing games for an hour.

Fast forward to over an hour later and we finally made it to the city! Now we have to wait for our tram to get to the venue....

This photo is pretty bad, but it's rather amusing. If you look closely at me and Sandra, it looks as if I'm punching her! I really wasn't though. I've actually got no clue as to what I was doing. She was eating though, and mid chew so it looks pretty convincing! haha

Yay, our tram is here!
Fast forward and we've arrived at the con!
Stormtroopers!!!
Remote Control R2D2!!! and the other droid, who's model name I forget, was actually the best Ice Chest I've ever seen! I so want one!
After looking around a bit we decide to continue our mission: FIND SPIKE!
We wander around a bit then manage to find out where we think we should go. We ask some people at the door and they tell us that James Marsters made his appearance earlier in the morning as wasn't coming back! I was devastated, as he was my entire reason for going to the con in the first place!! All I wanted was to go meet him!
Leave it to me to find a doggie at a con, his owner was kind enough to let me give him a cuddle, which cheered me up a bit.
Marty also tried his best to cheer me up and bought me a lovely new WoW Shirt!
Thank you babe!!!!
We decide we've had enough and try to go find Sandra and her friend Cameron. As we see them across the room she come running up to me with excitement, exclaiming that James decided to do another signing/photo session before the con ended, but we had to hurry! So we scurried off to buy our ticket for that and then I realize that we just spent our cash on the shirt! Cameron was nice enough to lend me some cash so I could get my ticket. So, I go up to buy it ad they tell me it costs $50 instead of the $40 noted on the website!!!! Luckily Sandra had an extra $10 to lend me as well!!! So we wait in line eagerly and I spy Gareth David Lloyd signing and then he comes to the photobooth and he just seems to be having such a blast being with his fans! It was soo cute! I wish I had enough money to get a photo with him as well, as I love him in Torchwood! Ah well, Spike gets first priority! So we wait and wait and finally its my turn! I walk in and he was so polite and smiling so nicely, opens his arm inviting me over to him saying "Hi sweetie, it's nice to see you!" quickly followed by "You're the exact same height as Sarah!" He seemed to be rather amused with my shortness! hahahaha!

Still pretty darn sexy for 47! Sandra calls him my "other boyfriend" hahaha
Ok, Marty is waiting to watch Doctor Who with me. (YAY!!!! I'm finally get him to watch it with me!!!!!!!)
So I better end this now before I can't stop. All in all I had a wonderful and fun day out, even if I got sad and nearly didn't get to meet James. I had a blast meeting Sandra and I hope I get to hangout with her again soon. It was awesome to find a girl to hangout with.
