Well it's the weekend again, where do the weeks go? I should be glad it's the weekend, they just ain't long enough...lol.

My guitar lesson today kinda sucked, though it's my own fault. I get so frustrated with myself, I'm really struggling or I feel like I am. My teacher is being patient but if it was me I'd be pissed off with me. Hell I am pissed of with me...lol. I mean give me a song to sing n I'll pick it up in seconds, give me something to play on the guitar n I'll fuck it up.

Thankfully my singing lesson went much better, got to concerts in March to prepare for. Still got to pick the songs I wanna do n need to find out more about the concerts. As far as the band thing goes, it goes slowly. Everyone seems to want to start pop bands...grrrr! I mean what happened to rock! Come on guys is it to much to ask to find some good musician who wanna start a rock band.

Anyway I better head off I got a shit load of stuff to do for my singing n guitar n I'm working on a couple of new songs I'm writing.

Yeah, the pop thing is depressing isnt it?
Try rubbing your influences onto your other bandmates. Thats what my last band did. We burnt CD's for each other of songs and bands that we wanted each other to hear. Its a good idea to make everyone listen to your influences and its smart to know where everyone else gets their influence too. Then you can say "hey what did you think of that CD I made you?" Maybe they'll like it and you'll get a compromise.
On the flipside if someone decides to share a cd with you it will give you the oppurtunity to explain why you werent down with the CD. Which in a indirect way could explain your dislike for someone's pop style with out personally slamming that bandmember. biggrin

Pop groups come and go, but good Rock 'N' Roll bands last forever.
