I tried to explain the Pirate Day thing, but SG kept thwarting my efforts.
In short, it is a themed Pirate Party that usually happens around the beginning of July. Past years have made the papers for the level of myhem it caused. *ahem* It is totally independant from anything apart from one organizer who's been involved with all 13-14 of the Pirate Days. USually a birthday or two fall inside it as well. Costumes, games, boozin and skullduggery. Bring your own Grog and vittles... I think it's in Hamilton this year.
