She stares out of the window. Her boss, Jack Laudner, paces back & forthback & forth. He is speaking. What exactly, is unclear. Bianca contemplates the clear skyline. Wilshire. Great view. Such a view isn't cheap. Bianca wonders if Jack had ever taken notice of the exact cost that this view had extracted from his life. She shifts her attention back to Jack. He is handsome & roguishly refined. Bianca has always liked Jack, respected him in a certain way. It was sad he was still in the closet. These days, it just didn't seem necessary. Laudner turns, beaming:
- Bianca, you have been promoted!
- Hmm. Ohum..I
- Yes, my dear, I am so pleased to say it, to announce this lovely piece of news to you. Today. Yes, today . . . Lovely.
- Thank you, Jack.
A BMW billboard juts out from Laudner's shoulder. Bianca thinks it is a sign.
- Oh, don't thank me. It was all your hard work, all the late nights you've sacrificed.
