I might be PMSing a bit but just had a text conversation with a friend.
She texts me to tell me that her ex (who still lives with her but they're best friends) is moving out on the 7th.
Me: "Crazy. How you feel about that?"
Her: "What r u a shrink? No need 2 analize me jus b my friend."
Me: "I'm not anaylizing anything. Just asking how you're taking it. Are you ok? I don't know if you're happy about it, sad, mad... I could simply say 'ok' but I really do care how you might feel. I wouldn't ask if I didn't."
Her: "Ok. Ur still doin it aims."
Me: "Whatever."
Her: "C if u weren't u wouldn't b defensive. Or bothered @ all."
Me: "I'm sorry. Hope the move goes smoothly."
I think I just needed to write it down. I was being a little defensive, but only because I really do care. I could have been happy for her if she was happy about it. Or I can be consoling if that's what she needed. It's hard to "be a friend" when you're not entirely sure what they need from you. Plus, trying to convey any sort of sympathy or emotion is damn near impossible thru text.
Ugh. Emotional people are hard to deal with... my sister is the worst of them all. Sometimes, I just want to isolate myself from humans all together, just for a bit. Being around emotional people is emotionally draining.

Yeah it seems like she's already emotional and just sort of taking it out on you... Don't sweat it, girls will be girls I suppose.
