It was always a definite. When I began planning my trip, Germany was always a point on my map, go anywhere else, but Germany is the absolute stop I have to take. Obvious reasons that my family and I have traced our roots all the way back to Hannover. But one event, has always caught my eye and attention that is Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest, the biggest beer festival, in the world...Liters of beer being poured, traditional music booming, the women in those dresses. This has but been a legend to me, a legend no one else can replicate. Seriously, went to an "Oktoberfest" in Pomona last year, and it was definitely lackluster. Nothing really, just a bunch of domestics and ripoff pumpkin beers. The music was fun but man, I would've liked to see an actual band people could really engage in.
It has seem like the best celebration of life cause beer, women, music in the homeland....What more can one ask for????
Not quite to the topic, haven't been there yet but thats the festival I wanna be at!
