My number one gal

Well Mother's Day has passed and you think about the woman whose given you more than you need, my mother has been great, but my grandmother...well there's the likes of @jessicalou and @mouse that stuns me but my grandmother will always be the gal that stuns me the most and first. Seriously, she's a grand gal and she love Suicide Girls, asked me to get her a shirt, but that's the type of gal she's been, supportive of my interest and I learned belief in the power of women from her.

Think it was that time we went shooting, she loaded up and shot like Annie Oakley, at a young age I learned she was not to be trifled with. She did the housewife thing but that was all her own choice that my grandpa values and recognizes that she is a WOMAN. Their definition of a woman is one that can go toe to toe with the guys and hold their stance; leave their mark. Grandma cooked, cleaned, did laundry, but she could get in the dirt build something, ride motorcycles, she's a math wiz, our techie, our moral compass. Grandpa doesn't do anything without her counsel first, still, to this day. I don't make huge decisions without hearing her view first. She'll give us the whole spectrum of anything, she's definitely the wisest of us all.

The value of a woman always came from her and if we didnt honor her, she'd bring us down! She came from an old school family where women were viewed to be lesser but no, we had to treat them right and as equals. I can hear that lecture now, " You treat a woman like a queen, treat her like she matters, she's not stupid, her cooter is not a factory, they have value, they are a ray of Aphrodite...you don't then I will hunt you down and bring you to your knees to say sorry!" 4'11" and her ferocity is still intense. Yes, if I'm flirting I use Greek mythology cause she said that's the true language and appreciation of women, not Shakespeare.

It was a good lesson and within the last year, I asked her, why she was so intense about that lesson and her reply..."I didn'twant to just teach you how to treat a woman right, I wanted to teach you how to treat people in general right. People think everyone should be treated according to how they look and you miss out on what they actually can do. Everyone has value that she be seen by what they can do and what their heart says of them."

Fucking Deep but definitely rings true through the mountains.

I'm not perfect but I do try to stay firm on I dont give a shit about race, religion, gender, age but what can your hands build? What does your heart say of you? That is what matters beyond your physical appearance. I've learned in this life that is what determines value. I got that all from Grandma; She didnt want to make a gentleman for the ladies but a good man for the world.

I definitely try my best and hope others can follow Grandma's advice as well.

Happy Mother's day to the SG moms, your mother, or mother figure, have a good day, my dudes.
