Depends on the type of surgery and your surgeon.
When I had my collarbone operated on, they just taped up my earrings. Even with the plastic, they still may make you take them out.
Of course the thought of you bouncing around topless under a black light has me intregued. Then again, any pretty girl bouncing around topless does that.
