I got the car back on thursday, a new late model 2003/4 engine is now in it. The dealer found it odd that it didn't get the factory 10+ mile run put on it and was certified as 0 miles. The engine also came with extensive bench run data as if it were tested as a potential factory race block at some point and the conversion never completed. Supposedly the build date/serial shows it as one of the last blocks off the line for that model year, the dealer took photos of the engine before mounting it, seemingly they are more interested in the engine's mysterious history than I am.
The dealer also cleared my airbag light that I grew accustomed to which came on and stayed on after I started the car with the Sparco in and no sensor block. They also replaced a high horn (wtf is low horn? seems there are 2 horns on my car, both blow same time), redid my alignment front and rear, free annual service, free trans maint., free retuning of my race suspension, and even didn't wash my car as I requested them not to! The car is better now than when I first received it. Total bill: $0.

The hockey director called, they need a goalie, badly. Seems I get to play for free! Now I need to get Maurice to join.

New SideKick (#4), this one works fairly well, at least until I overuse it and generate a speedy mtbf. SideKick II next if that happens, learned a new scam with that one. smile

Ok, enough for now, maybe see skinny chick tomorrow, maybe even talk to her for more than a minute or two.

Yeah, shit, kind of made that post with you in mind. Couldn't remember your name though. Yeah, Minnesota driving is herendous, and I wouldn't even think of driving it here. Plus I could just see rest easily developing on the inside of my wheels and breaks. I had a teflon coating buffed into my paint this summer to further protect against any potential damage. Essentially I wouldn't need to wax it for five years if I didn't want to. Kind of nice so I can be lazy with it.

Whoa... so what happend with your ride??? shocked
