Standing on the concourse at Devil's games between periods has its benefits. Rarely do I pay to play hockey anymore, people I have played with in past leagues always say "Hey it's roller-guy" or "It's the fast guy!" then invite me onto their teams, to practices, and scrimmages. Another 2 dates and 1 team lined up from last game.
The coaching staff and management are nolonger confused, and my team is nolonger dismayed at me trying out the goaltending position. I did however shave my head and all facial hair today, vaseline my head, and had a plaster-gauze facemask made to ship to a mask company to make me a kevlar/carbon mask. Probably going with Invader Zim art. My head still feels greasy and now I look 12. The bad news is the management has no idea how many goalies they have right now, so come Monday I may or may not be in net. Worst case I'm relegated back to D.
I found a really good spot to open a roller hockey rink, too bad someone else grabbed the site to put something else up. Grr. Back to looking. My current business partner thought I was a moron to even consider such a business until I mentioned the financials, a minimum of 700k per year, and most stuff aside from lease and insurance are one time fees. I may be payrolling my parents also so they only have to work when desired., yay for them, once I find a location without columns. Grr, again.
The start of month 4 of my vacation is fast approaching.
