It's almost time for the "Wrapped 2024" list from Spotify! I love seeing the music I played a ton of every year (even though I mostly remember lol). Here's a few gems from my top 100. Enjoy.

Up first, Larry Gus and his track "Black Veil of Fail" off his 2015 album I Need New Eyes. Lyrics underneath...

You're cancer free and sun drenched in...

From the Richmond, Virginia trio that is Drook, I give you "Sprinter" off their September 2024 album The Pure Joy Of Jumping. Enjoy and I'll be back when I'm able. A ton more music to work on here at home and at my other recording area/studio!

richsquared:
Super cool
silentobjectorx:
@richsquared agreed. This trio has a unique and great sound!

From his 2008 album, Modern Guilt, I give you the third or fourth version of music video for the Beck track, "Gamma Ray" and it's a good one with a very good actress in the video. Do you know who that is? Bonus points for you if you know! Tell me :) Love ya all! Bye!

Once I get caught up, I'm definitely going to come back to spend time with this.  I'm excited!
silentobjectorx:
@fredhincanada thank you bro!!  I appreciate it!

It doesn't matter why, and I don't think it would matter much even if it did. But, here we are and I have to go now. So, enjoy my freakout song by Queens of the Stone Age. Off their album Songs For The Deaf, here's "The Sky Is Fallin'" so enjoy. Bye.

fredhincanada:
No to the freakout.  No to the crash out.  Yes to the rock out!

When the going gets tough, I move forward but, I do tend to also crash out. So yeah, I'm a crash out for sure. What do you do when things get rough. Here's one of my ideal crash out scenarios (minus the intoxicant induced murder of course). Enjoy. Queens of the Stone Age, the Like Clockwork album, the track "Smooth Sailing" and you see? It...

I just bought and rewatched Judgement Night not too long ago. We grew up with it. The soundtrack was great!
silentobjectorx:
@fredhincanada bro lol, that movie is awesome and yeah, the soundtrack, top tier!

Album: In Rainbows

Artist: Radiohead

Track: Bodysnatchers

Enjoy. Bye.

bob_dylan:
One of the two most important musical artists of the 21st century (the other being Björk).  In my humble opinion 🙏
silentobjectorx:
@bob_dylan bro, fully agree!  I've seen Radiohead a handful of times and they're the CLOSEST thing I can attest to being a "religious experience" in my opinion!  Bjork too!  She's absolutely in my top 10 artists of all time too! Right up there with Radiohead and a handful of others! I know you're a fan of Vespertine (yeah?) and I am too. All her work is stellar but yeah, her and Radiohead, phenomenal titans in the music game!

Seriously. I'm not even going to do the usual here (mostly). I'm trying to get shit done today lol. But here's some tracks for your Sunday and mine.

Up first, Metronomy with their song "Night Owl" off the 2016 album Summer '08. Enjoy. I'll have like one, or two more after this.

Up next, the young phenom known as Flesh Simulator. Dude, is fuckin' awesome...

1. Tell us about one of your favorite songs of all time.
Okay, so ONE of my favorite songs of all time would have to be "Thirty-Three" by The Smashing Pumpkins. As many know, I'm a HUGE Smashing Pumpkins fan and I obsess over many of their tracks. "Thirty-Three" just happens to be a mix of sad and nostalgia for me. Even when the track...

I heard a puff, I heard a blow
I felt the ground, I felt the snow
I thought of linen and of lace
I never really saw his face
I heard a grunt, I heard a moan
I felt the sun, I saw the moon
I saw the northern light above
And the eclipse of the sun
I am a breath, I am a wish...
