What up? Hope you're all good! At current, I'm at a crossroads, literally lol. I'm taking a bus to "the shop" today aka, my studio. Time to do some work! Anyways, here's some old, some new, some bold and some blue music. Here, we, GO!
Up first, something old (and wonderful) from Neil Young With Crazy Horse. Off his 1969 album, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, I give you "Cinnamon Girl" as it's a classic and wonderful.
Up next, the gods of nonsense and beauty, the devotees of The Almighty BOOGNISH, I give you Ween!! They've always been the absolute best. I love these gentlemen. From the shows in my own city (from November 9th 2003), on a rockin' Sunday (show 3 of 3 that weekend) I give you the great live version of "Big Jilm" off of Pure Guava originally in 1992. Here ya go!
Up next, a great song with a LOT of history (especially in my city of Chicago) from the one, the only, Al Jourgensen otherwise known as the architect of Ministry. From their phenomenal 1989 album, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste, I give you "So What?" It's a great time and the words are of utmost importance to someone like me. The track is blissful live and sadly those days of Ministry touring are over as of seven days ago :( Uncle Al has said he is tired and said: "My ears hurt." I get it. He's in his mid 60s. Time to pack it in. I will forever be grateful to him for his amazing sense of sound and style. He's already missed. Here's "So What?" so enjoy.
Up next, from her self titled album Fever Ray, I give you Karin Dreijer aka Fever Ray. Off her 2009 album, I give you my favorite song from that debut album "Triangle Walks" and it is sublime.
This last one is from a band I hold very dearly. That band is Morphine. Mark Sandman was an amazing dude and so was this band. From a show in the late 90s in France, I give you the track "The Saddest Song" off the 1992 album Good. Thus, fulfilling my promise for some blue or sad music. Enjoy. I love this band with all my heart. Their shows in the early 90s were like mana for me. I miss those days :( Oh well, life moves forward with time. See you all when I see you and have a fantastic weekend if I don't make it back before it's over! Bye!
