Things were bad at the end of last year. Things have only gotten incrementally better since then. Yes, I am in a better place and I am glad about that. However, it still haunts me and recent events make me even more skittish. In the US as a whole really. It feels like we'll never get over the hurdles here that divide. We'll also never fully erase the horrible things like, sexism, bigotry, racism and every other negative ism possible to think of.
We are damaged. Not just as a country, but as individuals. There is no true "identity" of US citizens in my opinion. Not as long as the vast majority don't pull their heads out of the collective sand. Ehhh. Long story short, maybe I'll start writing creative pieces again soon, maybe not. I don't really know yet. I'm just trying to keep my head down and not verbally eviscerate people on the spot for their fucked opinions or lack thereof. Talk again soon, hopefully. Maybe...
