Well... taking another break from work... gonna be a long one today. Christmas makes things so complicated. Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year, but any holiday that takes me away from work while simultaneously draining my checking account has something fundamentally wrong with it.
Feeling the pressure this year as well... my family knows i'm making money, and are the type who compete over the gifts they give. Demo CD's of the band aren't going to cut it this year lest I be dubbed 'cheap' and 'insensitive'.
So the next ten days are kind of like finals for me... need to make enough money to be traveling the entire month of January, pay off X-mas gifts, and pay off the $5000 worth of camera equipment I bought last week. That was one of those expenses where you leave the store feeling like somebody kicked you in the throat with a steel toed boot.
So... I talked to my attorney today, and apparently the drunk driver that hit me in August has already been to trial and was charged with ONLY careless driving. For some reason, neither of us victims were notified of the trial or got to submit statements. BOGUS. My neighbor took a photo of me right after I got that phonecall, i was pissed.
I need to go to a show desperately. The one thing I miss the most about the east coast is the punk scene. Way too many good times spent at shows in DC, NYC, and Boston... the greater Denver area is kinda bunk. Then again, I don't even know where to look for the scene here. Let me know if there are good small shows coming up!
