I fucking LOVE Inga Muscio. If you ever get the chance to read her book Cunt: a declaration of independence, and are pro-women in any way, you totally should. *sigh* Amazing.

In other news, I'm kind of sick... and by kind of, I mean really. Enough snot has come out of my nose to fill up a kiddie pool, my body aches, and I have a cough that's worse than any smoker I know (and I don't even smoke!). This is now the second time I've had to call in sick after a mini-trip. I'm sure my work thinks I'm just trying to sneak in more vacation time, but damn, my body doesn't seem to take to traveling very well. Goddamnit!

I guess I could go on to bombard you with pictures now. This past weekend was the Emerald City Comic Con. I thought I wasn't going to get to go for a while because of my car situation, but thanks to Lyxzen's significant other offering to drive us up, we made the con afterall. A huge thanks to the awesome Sedora for letting us crash at her place, and a thank-you to Blyss, Kara, Marigold, Charm, Amelinda, Jorie, ViquiV, and Doxie for being such lovely ladies to meet. It was also super nice to see Madeleine, and Skully again. Those ladies totally rock my socks off. And of course, where would I be without my main Portland lady Lyxzen? This woman is pure brilliance in a tiny package. I love her! Anyway, enough of my sick rambling. Here are pictures:

We were placed right next to the Dark Horse Comics booth (yay for fellow Portlanders!). Dark Horse Comics, thank you for the free copies of these books. You guys rock!

This guy was wearing an Herbivore sweatshirt. He wasn't from Portland though. But, he racked up even more brownie points by doing this:

Gotta love those "kick me" signs.

Go team Venture! Yes, I love this incredibly well-written show. And as happy as I was to see fellow venture bros. fans at the con, this picture was actually one of those, "don't be stupid, go stand over there and let me take a picture" moments. sigh. <3.

This guy had the best facial hair ever!

Madeleine brought over delicious vegan dinosaur cookies.

Vegan dogs from this place are pretty rad.

This guy was trying to sell a membership to this other guy. It was pretty entertaining.

Angus Oblong is pretty rad.

Huzzah for writers!

Storm Troopers love us!

Pictures stolen from Doxie:

I make bitter faces too.

I was exhausted, so this was me doing my Al Bundy impersonation. Rock!

robot Things I learned from this convention:
~Being filmed without a heads up kind of sucks. I can't even begin to explain how awkward it feels to look up from doing something and seeing the red light on a camcorder in my face.

~Not all conventions are riddled with people dressed in inappropriately tight spandex. Seattle, you've disappointed me. Damn you and your jean obsessed people.

~Apparently I have "sweat-worthy balls." o_0

Okay. That's it. I'm going to go back to being sick. Fuck you, stuffy nose!
