Christmas-time is around the corner. I have a pink tree. Yes, it's girly. Yes, it's flashy. Yes, it's awesome!
Normally, I get the biggest kick out of wrapping presents. But because I've been so busy lately, this joyous activity has seemed rather rushed, and, well, sucky. I did say that I'd post pictures of my "mad wrapping skills," and sadly, I've shown you that apparently I don't know the difference between my ass and my elbow when it comes to making pretty things. Whatever. Don't hate

Speaking of not being able to make pretty things...

That scarf I'm wearing? I actually made that for someone else. It was the first scarf I ever crocheted, and it was brutal. I felt horrible about giving such a wretched sight to someone who dresses so well... it would've been a crime. Seriously. So, because I have absolutely no problem with wearing crap (as demonstrated by the above photo, and the comment I received while in the post office today: "is that what the fashion is nowadays?"), I decided that I'd hold on to it and play with it some more. And if you're wondering, yes, I'm still wearing the scarf... in public.


My thoughts have been going about a million miles PER SECOND. Yeah. I feel as though I'm experiencing the stages of grief on repeat. I want to start writing again... it's not going to be pretty. On the upside, the "adopt a cat" commercials on the radio that depress me so, prompted me to initiate "the talk" with my roommate... and guess what? I may have myself a little furry companion after the new year! I'm stoked. (how's that for random?)

Lyxzen shot the set back in June. She spent about a bazillion hours editing the set because yours truly has horrible skin and probably tons of other things that make photoshop very necessary for pretty photos. Anyway, I actually LOVE this set and think that it's my favorite thus far... and alas, it was rejected. I'm sure you're all familiar with Second-Chance Sundays, so I won't bore you with any more of my ramblings. Shall we try to make some magic happen?
