So...

So I've been playing text-message tag with this woman on the cell phone, as the result of an ebay sale I made to her last year. I'd procrastinated, and was late in the shipping, but we hit it off pretty well, chatting occasionally since. I kinda get excited whenever she txt messages me back and all, and we just did the "if you ever need a friend, gimme a ring" thing.

Hey, it may not be much, but it's something.

In other oddness, I've just left several comments about organizing a road trip to a meet & greet with my favorite MMO's publisher. This, despite the fact that I've only ever met one person on SG - and that was over twenty years ago. There's even a birthday party going on tonight that's not ten minutes' drive from me, in a public place and with the faint implication that anyone who shows would be welcome, and I'm actually debating whether or not to go. We'll see - not like I'm doing anything else tonight.

Just amuses me on some level that I'm afraid of meeting the local people, but organizing a road trip with people I've had even less interaction with, while kinda nervously semi-crushing on a girl I only occasionally text chat with.

I lead such an odd life.
