Here's a newflash for the left in America:

Karl Rove does not matter.

That's right. Getting rid of the K-Man will NOT change who is President, will NOT stop O'Connor from retiring, NOR will it change the partisan split in Congress.

Fine, Rove is a creep. Fine, Rove *may* have broke the law (maybe I don't read so good, but the leaks reported thus far are *hardly* a smoking gun, thanks very much).

But, then what? Does it change the strong Republican grassroots groundswell? Does it make the Democratic party into something besides "the guys that ARE NOT Republicans," in the eyes of most Americans?

Look at Michael Moore, an interesting guy who's just a little crazy sometimes: he's all but doing a jig because maybe Rove did something bad. Great. Good for you. So, now it's a victory for the Left to send some guy to prison or get him fired? Huzzah for reducing fucking expectations. whatever

Rove did something bad, go get him for that. DON'T let that become the whole fucking point of your current political agenda. It wastes time on *crap* when real issues are going on, morons.

Good point about the Republican grassroots...

this past weekend i was waiting in a hellish line at 6 flags. my friend and i got into a discussion about how possible it is to change the current political system.

i went through the whole "start from the bottom up" and he countered with "you start from the top down becasue there is *already a movment that people can see".

what do you think?
