Was there something in the air in the city yesterday? The humidity? What? Because it seemed like the *crazies* were out.

First, there was the woman on the bus. When we first got on, she was talking loudly about drywalling and getting ripped out. Which made some kind of sense. Then, she started talking about Beyonce dancing for the president, and how Jay-Z had more money then Obama. Except for the money Obama had stashed overseas - b/c he was "from overseas" you know? THEN, she started talking about how she hated those bitches "Janet Jackson, Beyonce, and Tyra Banks" - because they always ripped her style off. And she could not believe that Tyra was coming to Chicago (did this even happen? When did it happen?). Some guy was with her - and I'm not sure he got a word in for the whole bus ride. It was a trip.

(I'm sure she was kind of mentally ill. And I know this will send me to hell, but: she was damn funny.)

THEN, yesterday afternoon, parked in front of Macy's, were some guys doing the whole street corner preacher thing. They had kind of a black nationalism story going on, talking shit about Jesus not being white but also taking a real stand against Islam too. Plus, there was a whole "standing up for African Americans, but against whites, Asians etc" theme too. There were like three guys on a podium with microphones and speakers, two guys standing on the ground, and an assload of pictures and signs laid out on the sidewalk. Plus, they were dressed like some weird proto-Klingons.

And I wasn't even out that long! For reals, folks: what the fuck was going on yesterday? I'm kind of scared to leave the house today.
