Today, a man is coming to tell me how much it will cost me to move across the country. I'm sort of afraid of what he's going to say.

Oh god, they really rip you off with the cross country move thing. I'd ask if the new job is going to help offset any of the costs, but given the economy, I can't imagine colleges/universities having much to offer for the fringe stuff. Boooo.

That's excellent!! Now, don't move in August or they're so busy they mix your things with other people's in those huge trucks and then they leave it for everyone to work it out amongst themselves!
