So, fall just *showed up* here in Chicago - and I think it's here to stay? The hell?

i actually like fall a lot: jackets and brisk mornings are all right by me. The only down side is that fall leads to winter - and that's just a goddamn mess. But for real: I could have gone for a couple more weeks of nice warm weather, instead it's going to hit the 40s this week and it's rained all day *twice* in the last week. Ugh.
