I feel like I owe this box an update ... but, seriously, the longer I *don't* update - the easier it is to not update. That's inertia for you.

Things are good on this end. I'm crackerjacking on work. I saw Wilco on Saturday night and that was sweet as sweet can be. I just wrapped up Blindsight by Peter Watts, and its the best science fiction I've read in a long, long time: just wonderfully hard science fiction, with great speculative ideas and a tight, thriller plot. And. Um. Yeah. That's about the end of it. I've survived another season of birthdays/Valentine's Days as well.

Also, right now, we're watching Bones. I used to think Zoey was the cute Deschanel sister. But Emily has kind of a stronger, more womanly vibe going on that really gets me. Also: any show where most of the main characters are PhDs or graduate students is pretty much an easy sell to me.
