I'm already updating already because I have *important* things to say. Namely: Doesn't *stuff* make you really bummed out sometimes?

More specifically, yesterday I went to check out Mike Judge's newest flick, Idiocracy, which opened this weekend in like 7 cities with basically no advertising. So it's gonna do badly. It's pretty funny, so that's too bad. *But* that's not even the stuff that *really* sucked!

The movie has two of my favorite non-conventional beauties:

Maya Rudolph

and Sara Rue

So, first, I'll totally admit that calling these two unconventional beauties is a stretch - they're actually pretty conventionally pretty I think (not that there's anything wrong with that). But here's what depressed me: evidently the only way that women are allowed to be famous, when they are not "standard Hollywood gorgeous," is by being funny. I shudder to think how many talented women (and I suppose men too) who are *attractive* but not 92 lbs. are just kept out of entertainmnet. There's no big revelation here. It's kind of "duh" I know. It just really bugged me yesterday.

THEN, when I came home to look for pictures of Maya Rudolph and Sara Rue to write this journal I found out, Sara Rue "changed her image!" So, this is Sara Rue now:

Sunnuva bitch....

And, again, I know I shouldn't be surprised by this (Janeane Garofale, Christina Ricci, and so on and so forth), but learning about her Sara Rue's "amazing image makeover" ( puke ) was like the bummed-out cherry on my bummed-out ice cream sundae.

So, see, stuff sucks.

They can be. When they're not bitching about how unfamous they are now.
