I wanted to write something unpleasant here about the news wire. But that's unbecoming. I will say this: the news section of this website really sucks anymore. It used to not suck - it used to funny and relevant. Now it seems to be a collection of essays that try too hard, news stories disguised as polemics, advertisements disguised as news stories, and the worst kind of celebrity gossip. It doesn't really matter or anything ... But it is a bummer to see it go down hill.
