Look! Two timely updates in a row! Now that it's summer at last, I'm going to work on being a better online citizen. We'll see right?
The weekend was pretty snazzy.
Friday was just for relaxing.
Saturday was like "Technology Christmas" at my house. My wife's new MacBook and iiPod nano came in. Plus we both got new cellphones. I'm now cell phone-camera enabled. Hah! A book I ordered and a shirt my wife got for me (to replace one of my all time faves - a Chris Bachalo rendition of Death from The Sandman) also showed up.
Also on Saturday, the wife and I checked out The Taste of Randolph. Mostly, we were there for the music. In particular, we were keen to check out The Black Keys. There was a brief moment where it seemed that weather would defeat our plans, but things cleared up and Dan and Pat rocked out. One unfortunate side note: I'm just not as young as I used to be. We were fairly close to the front, and my ears were still rining *the next day.* This was a new, and not particularly pleasant phenomenon. Things seem better now, though I'm considering going to the doctor just to get everything checked out. Anyone got any advice on loud shows doing a bang-up number on your ears? The long and short of it is: For any future concerts, I'm gonna be packing earplugs.
Sunday was spent calling my dad and otherwise relaxing. We set out to make stuffed poblano chiles, following a recipe out of one of our favorite cookbooks. The whole process took hours though. We ended up just making the filling and stuffing the peppers. Then, we ate leftovers. Tonight, we're going to coat and fry those babies up.
Um. That's about it. I'll see you all soon.

Yeah, back in HS I was a big headbanger (though my hair was too poofy to pull off the look). Aerosmith for working out, Iron Maiden to play D&D by, and Led Zep for chillin' out at the swimming hole.
Man, I miss having a swimming hole.
