So, I'm not working right now. I'm meeting a friend for lunch downtown, and had some grading to do this morning. Given those factors, busting out that Word document and cracking out some paragraphs just seemed silly: I'd get nowhere and it would be time to go. In reality, I'm just rationalizing how lazy I am.
By and by, there is a lot of excitement in my house since the new season of Project Runway premiered last night. This is, hands down, one of the best shows on TV. What makes it work is that the designers they pull into the show are actually really, really talented. Almost all of them are fashion school graduates, and many of them work in fashion already (as designers, tailors, or in costume design). What that means is that people invovled are pseudo-professional, serious, and brings some mad skills to the table. I'm sure that part of my love for this show relates to my ongoing interest in what people do for a living. I know nothing about fashion, so both the technical and aesthetic elements of the show appeal to me. And that's all I have to say about that.
The term is sort of winding down. Tomorrow I pick up the final exams I need to grade. By Sunday night, I hope to have the third section of my first proposal draft pounded out. That would leave one "and a half" sections (the "half" being a rough outline of some of the specific empirical questions/chapter descriptions I would actually write). I'm well on to the way of meeting my December 20th deadline.

I was basically making a joke that "the gay guy" doesn't exactly narrow things down on that show.
(In other words, your project sounds cool.)
