Here is the thing: When I tell someone that my novel consists of artificial intelligence and nanotechnology and they get a half-digusted look on their face and they tell me 'oh, sci-fi - alternate reality kind thing' - I start fantacising about what they would look like missing various vital organs.

NO, it is not SCIENCE FUCKING FICTION because I fucking run artificial intelligence on my computer fucking TODAY and because nanotechnology jeans have been puchasable at the GAP now for over a year. YOU UNINFORMED MISCREANT!!!
Anyone who equates nanotech and AI with far out notions of alternative existences which have nothing to do with them would do well to watch a Star Trek episode and then notice that they have a web fucking camera and cellular fucking telephone amoung other things which are portrayed on that moronic show as being 'far out' and 'futuristic'.
And here is me point: 'ANNOUCEMENT TO EVERYONE WHO HAS THEIR HEAD UP THEIR ASS: WELCOME TO THE FUTURE, TRY TO SURVIVE SOMEHOW'.
