2. In the military, the older guys usually end up being the leaders amongst the equally ranked just because they have more age=more experience in life itself=less likely to fuck things up
3. Once you get used to things in the military it won't matter when you sleep during the day, so long as you get a requisite number of hours of sleep a week.

That is a lot of stuff you have going on right now. You seem to have already broken it down somewhat into the different catagories of that's on your mind, but maybe if you prioritize it, it won't seem so much. Try to forget about the stuff that isn't as major, like the weight loss for example, if that ends up being towards the bottom. And then maybe you can start to eliminate these worries one by one, simply by focusing more attention on a single matter.
