So I finally bought Pink Flag by Wire & I'm listening to it right now. So far, I am very impressed with the straightforwardness of everything, but some of the songs are too short! I'm not into 10 minute epics, but I guess I do like the typical vs chorus vs style of songwriting. It seems to be there sometimes, but other times a song can seem unfinished? I dunno.... seem like it would be better with an additional verse or thought. Overall, very good. Still won't surpass Marquee Moon as my fav from the 70's, but will easily make the top ten.
Did anyone else think life would end up this boring? Seriously... I can only do so much before I think "So, still by yourself, huh?" I keep thinking that I should have met a group of friends somewhere that are on the same wavelength as me? I mean, I have some good friends, but they read & listen to & watch shit. I've tried getting them on board with newer or interesting stuff, but they pass. They'd rather stick with early to mid 90's rock & watch South Park. That's all well and good, but there's a lot more out there.
