So I recently just got a raise and my office is so busy right now with the work I do that I can't keep up with the incoming flow. With that being fact, my company has decided to hire someone else that can do what I do. Hallelujah! And they want me to make the final decision on who gets hired, since I am the only one in the office that knows how to do what I do. Fantastic!!! At least so I thought, they have asked someone else in the office to set up the interviews. No problem there, but he won't let me look at the applicants and is pressing me to hire a guy that I don't think is right for the job.

Come on, man! I know my shit and this guy doesn't know shit from shineola! Let me do my job and select the proper person for the position. Don't force me to hire someone because you like the dude. It doesn't work like that.
