Okay what exactly is it with you women. I date you for years, and then you leave me for the guy you cheated on me with then years later when you realize you have been treated like shit by him you come running back to me. I don't get it....

Me: Uh yeah I recognized your voice. Is everything okay?

K: Oh we are getting a divorce, yeah long story short I realize he was an asshole. What are you doing tomorrow?

K: Oh yeah what's out there?
Me: A guitar cabinet I am buying.
K: You play guitar now, that's hot! You want to meet up for dinner after?
Me: Um actually I am not going out there until 6pm.
K: Oh well, you should come over sometime when your not busy.
Me: Really? Why's that I haven't spoken to you in like 10 years...
K: 12 years, guess it took me that long to realize what a great guy you are.
Example #2: Three weeks ago
We dated for 3 months then nothing...
Phone rings...
Me: Hello.
Y: Hey, Sorry I haven't talked to you in a bit.
Me: No big deal, just figured you found someone new.
Y: Yeah that didn't go over so well.
Me: His loss huh.
Y: I guess, what are you upto?
Me: At the moment trying to figure out why you would call me out of the blue. I mean
I haven't spoken to you in many months.
Y: Oh it hasn't been that long.
Me: Been long enough for me to take the hint.
Y: What is that supposed to mean?
Me: Means I know when I have been bested and well he beat me whomever he was.
Y: He was an asshole.
Me: Guess you like assholes then?
Y: Why are you being an asshole now?!?!?
Me: You don't like it?
Y: No!
Me: Well I guess it's just me then have a good life.
Yeah I was really bitter about that one... did everything in my right mind to impress the girl and it
was only second best.
Example #3: Two Months Ago
We dated 4 1/2 years... hadn't seen her in almost 2.
At a buddies birthday party. Talking to some friends and one points out
"Hey is that 'A'?"
Me: Shit!
A: Hey guys how are you doing?
Everyone else: Good, good...
A: Great! Shane I haven't seen you in awhile... you doing well?
Me: Fine.
A: Are you still mad at me?
Me: Um no just not thrilled about you.
A: Awe can I change your mind about that? I mean I still care about you?
Me: Yeah really you tell your boyfriend that?
A: No we broke up two weeks ago.
Me: Shame.
A: Yeah you want to go get coffee sometime?
Me: Nope.
A: Why not? I miss you!
Me: Oh well you'll get over that.
Example #4: 8 months ago
3:15am I received a phone call, no response when I answered.
3:20am I received a second phone call from the same number... this time I let it go to voice mail.
3:35am I get another phone call...

H: Hey is this Shane?
Me: Yes, whom is this?
H: It's H! Remember we dated for a few years back in 1995-96.
Me: Whoa, okay what can I do for you H? How did you get my number?
H: Oh I got it from >><<< they said it was safe to call you. I hope that's okay?
Me: Well they probably meant during normal hours.
H: Did I call you at a bad time? I am sorry I work the graveyard shift and I just got home and had to call you.
Me: Yeah well, you got me now what's up?
H: Oh I just wanted to catch up and see how you where doing?
Me: Can't this wait until some other time? I mean I got to be at work in 5 hours.
H: Well maybe, I am off on Tuesdays and Wednesday Nights would either of those work for you?
