Even at my busiest I answer the phone to say "Hey I am busy can I call you back..." or I will respond to your text messages "I am in the middle of something here I will text you later...", I mean at least you would know I got your message right. And that I am not ignoring you. (I am not saying you cause I am pointing fingers, this has nothing to do with anyone on SG.)
Technology killed courtesy. Invention murdered etiquette.
It upsets me to think that instead of writing a love letter people are "sexting" now.
Also what's with wanting to "hang out" instead of dating?
This woman came up to me at a bar the other night, we talk for a bit... then she tells me she's got to leave but wants to know if it's okay to call me sometime to hang out.
I said sure, give her my number then ask... "what do you mean by hang out"?
She says... "you know catch a movie or dinner and drinks".
I reply... "oh you want to go out on a date?"
She responded with... "A date? What is this 1950?"
I just looked at her baffled.
She then deleted my number from her phone and left.
I sat there puzzled trying to figure out why she didn't like it being called a date. Hanging out is something I do with my buddies, we get together at the garage have a few beers and wrench on cars. Maybe she just wanted to wrench on cars with me I don't know. But I gotta say I won't ever flirt with someone I hang out with, they are friends... not romantic interests.
