So I am enraged about TXGas Service. First thing I tried to schedule a connection of service three days after my move in date but that wasn't possible. They said they couldn't get to me for 2 weeks, (WTF) so I asked "why the delay I mean the electric company got me connected the same day". Their response was, "because we just scheduled a shut off for the previous tenant and won't be out there for another two weeks".
This is true, I was at the house the day before my call to schedule for them to come out and checked the stove which is gas and it fired up and the water which was hot. So the gas was on the day before I called.... so I thought well maybe the didn't turn the gas off. Wrong... there was a pad lock on the meter. Fine whatever I will wait two weeks.
Two weeks comes and yesterday they were supposed to call me before they got to the house. I never recieved a call not even a voice mail message stating that they would wait for 15mins until I call back. I then called at 4:00pm to TXgas Service and asked if I was still on schedule for connection as I had not heard anything yet from them. The woman states that the account was close as the tenant wasn't home and the tech could not get a hold of me. He appearently claimed that he got a busy signal. I have a cell phone, if the line is busy it will beep that I have an incoming call. If I don't answer then it will go to my voice mail box and I will be sent a message that I missed a call. No record of any such thing on my end, so I thought maybe my phone has gone to crap. Nope the guy just never called.... so now I am getting charged with a 12 dollar no show fee. WTF - it's not my fault that their tech can't dial seven digits on his cell phone with his fat fingers.
Now enraged I start telling the woman I am not going to pay for that and she needs to send a tech out that knows how to operate a phone as well as unlock a gas meter.
