Maybe when i'm older, I'll be a touch nicer to myself, and use some fucking earplugs.....

although the buzzing is kinda peaceful in it's own way, and the ringing will offset my chattery brain pretty well for a while.

Toes touch, but only to flirt with the dust underfoot, drifting over earth, awake in a dream. Rain pelts the shell, rusting away flesh, melting the body to vapor, passing through the ice core of the invisible, the self, warming paths of nothing through and gone. Puffs of loosened soil remain in passing, settled and calm. A rushing cascade removes and replaces, relives and rejoices....

when i said to you, go
you turned and looked over your shoulder
at the darkening behind me,

you wore the long dress,
and you blew kisses at all the boys,
and the girls who'd love you if they could
and i stood to the side

you washed me in your way,
effortless and redeeming, and i lost
myself to the way,
your lips felt...

2) mostly the epiphanies i have are as transient as the problem they bulldoze

I know exactly what you mean. I really liked the way you put it.

4) this nether scares or intrigues, mostly its like watching a phenomenon one knows very well, and then every once in awhile it does something different and I smile

This is the attitude that I am aiming for about it and I think I will get there someday when I can overcome my fear of feeling out of control. Besides I like to have meaty things to ponder and without inner turmoil where would I be? wink

ok so now it's twice a week...... ouch. more strips, more blue (is that bad?) knuckles, more strain pain and fun. it's as much like kendo as can be, without having anything in common. it's usually a one handed, oft wild, t-shirt and jeans kind thing. oh and incidentally, a "eat very little meat" experiment, does not generally go well with rapid healing from multiple...

surely people didn't actually love each other for life in the 'old days', they just felt more obligation to pretend?

I found a nice quote in Nietzsche: 'I have always found the badly-paired to be the most revengeful: they make everybody suffer for the fact that they are no longer single.'

A emotional credit-card sounds good although knowing my current spending habits, I'd soon rack up insurmountable debts... Imagine being emotionally 'maxed out'...

Speaking of German robot music, do you know Schneider TM's cover version of the Smiths' 'There is a Light that Never Goes Out'?
'And if a ten-ton truck
Crashes into us
To die by your side
What a heavenly way to die...'

Enjoy your multiple blunt force trauma.

once a week me and some friends beat at each other with sticks in mock swordplay. Sorta goofy, sure, but fun and momma didn't rase her boy to care too much about appearances. The important thing, is that it's fun and it involves pain. What more, other than a few unmentionable attentions, could a relativistically young man want. OK ok so I want the island...

Looking at your hairy chest, I can quite see the Robin williams analogy.

Mock swordfighting eh? Is it anything to do with kendo or not quite so structured? Whatever, sounds cool, or should I say 'neat-o'? tongue Haven't heard that one in a while!

I tell you, every time I read your journal I just sit here agog and grinning ( eeek biggrin ) trying to get my head around what it must be like to live your life. i wish we lived near each other, we could be pals. I figure you're the kind of person can enliven an evening with nothing but your wit...

Reminds me of a line from David Mamet's film State and Main:
guy: sounds like you had to make your own fun back then.
girl: you always make your own fun. Otherwise it's not fun, it's entertainment.

You rock.

so Me is grounded. Me managed to break several of the hallowed and oft abused drinking by-laws. Not a hanging offense, per se, but Me's desire to have too good a time, the availability and time scale of said good time, and the ill advised alchemy of the good time all factored into the punishment. And punishment was metered out in a judicial, expedient manner....

Hey young man, take it easy with that Guinness. wink

Yr questions:
1) well a week isn't too long is it really? You couldn't get far and see stuff at the same time... The places I've always wanted to see most are, like you, Japan, and then all of North America, but especially Alaska. So maybe that's my answer: Alaska.
But, this afternoon, I saw a film set in/about Brazil, with all these violent street kids from the favelas in Rio and I'm thinking, Jesus, why would anyone want to go to Brazil, the place is fucked, but meanwhile, the rest of me is thinking, what more exciting holiday destination could there be...?

2) Space: er, probably not, really. I can, y'know, see it from here. biggrin Maybe if there was a destination, like Mars or something...

3) all of them. But especially, ooh, Russian, German, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, I could go on... I once had dreams of learning several more (and, at least German, Russian and Japanese), but doubt whether I'll manage it now. Still I have French, if you need any pointers...

ok... if I could feel anything, I'd feel pretty messed up by now. Nothing a little drunken journaling won't fix right proper, by jezzum.

to explain... no will take too long. to sum up:

Richard Cheese & Lounge Against the Machine is an inherently evil influence that I am unable to resist.

I am still pretty messed up, in a cute, waveringly drunken sort of...

~trix: no no tail, per se, but I do have a prickly attitude, and am well equipped with sharp objects.

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a tail? I'm wishing for either a super furry bushy tail I can stroke people with, or a prehensile tail to, um, grab people with. As to sharp objects, I used to carry a knife, but no longer do. kiss robot

Hold that thought...

ok, sorry. I'm looking for a little paragraph I once wrote. Problem is, see, I wrote it in one of my journals. I've got 7, one permanently missing, and one in the car. each is about 180 to 220 pages of horrible hand-scrawled psychotic monomania, with the occasional bad sketch, pasted magazine picture, or ode/lament to some girl/lover/passerby. On the bright side,...

Hi, I am glad you liked my journal. I can understand that running around like a chicken with your head cut off looking for someting mode. I feel like half of my life is spent doing that! biggrin

BTW, did you notice that you are only 11 days older than me, that is kinda cool.
