then I guess it was good, all things considered. No tragic loss of limb and life. no hellish suffering, no really interesting thing for moi. A woman i;ve loved since a million years ago is now engaged, and although I thought I'd feel the sudden unerring dropping of my stomach through my shorts, onto the floor and down through the floor boards. Nope, I barely even had time to think, ouch. I just kinda smiled, and when time came to drink, I might have had an extra one, just to get over it a little.
Other than that it was just another languid debaucherous weekend in LA. except, without the sex. or the midget elephants...
I'll try to remember some of the more amusing details, like when i got mugged by the elevator. of lovely downtown El Segundo, located neatly in the shadow of a Chevron petroleum facility, LAX, a regional steam (wtf? do they run out) factory, and the Pacific. Yes, that just one little highlight there folks...
