My family if they were shoes:
My family, were all very much alike, in that we love attention, comfort, and each other. Yet, were all different in the ways were alike. In fact, were like shoes, the same, but not really the same.
My mother, well, shes like a pair of slippers. Soft and comfortable, she warms up quickly, as if shes lined with fur. Never too stressed, she doesnt mind staying at home. Yes, my mother is just like a pair of slippers. Dad however, hes more like work shoes, nice to look at, uncomfortable at first, but they grow on you. Even when hes not working the man is working, fastidiously reading the paper, tending the gardens, or even watching t.v., its always business with that man.
Garrett, the second youngest, hes like steel toed boots. Hard working, loyal, never gives up, but with a softer, more fun side, like the lining of said boots. Angie, the next girl up, shes way fun, easy to be around, stylish, and gets the job done, like skate shoes, properly tied and not all loose like most kids do their laces now. Yes, yes, those shoes are perfect for those particular siblings.
Skipping to the oldest, my sister Christa, always on the go, a little rough, but nice to wear, a pair of cross trainers are how I see her. Never really stopping, but conforming to whatever situation she finds herself in. Next is Cory, rough, sturdy, and patriotic like cowboy boots youd never find the man in a pair, but he is truly a pair in his own right. Following our cowboy boots, we have Josh. Josh is tough as nails, quiet, a deep thinker, he likes to, kick it old school. Hrm, some high tops, built to last, look nice, and perform at peak efficiency, yes some Converse High Tops, those sound about right.
Finally, it comes down to the middle boy, Brandon and the youngest, myself. So alike, I still get called his mini-me. Were both Adidas Sambas, indoor soccer shoes. Shoes that are designed for soccer, but work for everything else, theyre comfortable everyday shoes, theyre rugged and take a beating. You can clean them up, and the look amazing! Were the same, but as before, were different. Brandon and his shoes are cleaner, but more worn. While myself and my Sambas, were newer, but thrashed and dirty.
