Yea, so in an attempt to try and get aquainted with other artists, photographers, models, ect, i joined one of the many generic modeling web sites., Model Mayhem. Which in and of itself wasnt a problem.. the problem was a brief venture into the forums. Where people with large forum post counts like to look down their noses at others and talk shit.

Mind you, for the most part, these are the same people who's model mayhem portfolio is basically 20 odd pics of 1 female in various states of undress.. standing around with some generic scenery or just a background... just like the majority of other people on there. While most of them might be technically proficient at working a camera they tend to confuse that with being a great photographer and there for adopt a holier then thou attitude.

My question usually is... if their talent and skill set is so far in advance of mine.. then why are they there talking to the likes of lil ol me? If its one thing i cant stand its when someone takes themselves waaaay to seriously.. and then expects me to as well.

Maybe its me, but where i come from.. and unsolicited negative opinion is a one way ticket to getting punched in the throat. This more then anything is why my parents wouldnt send me to art classes when i was a kid... but let me train martial arts instead.
