Dont suppose anyone could describe the function of churches and basilicas in the Byzantine Empire. Were they buildings of God, church, or state, or a combination of all?

Well, ive been accepted to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh's online school, and received a nice chunk of financial aid, a grant, and a decent student loan. All i have to pony up out of pocket is just over 900 dollars a year. I'll be taking 3 classes a semester as taking 4 would configure the loan package to where i was paying 3g out...
