Hello all,
Yayyyyyyyyyy, we are done with our newest CD!
We are very pleased to announce the release of our 5th CD... VORTEX.
This is a double CD, and contains over 140 minutes of music.
'"That's a lot of music!" your thinking...
...it includes remixes from both "Chasing the Ghost" and "Some Kind of
Strange".
23 very diverse mixes from remixers, bands, and DJ's from all over the world.
Vortex Includes some very special guests...Charlie Clouser (formally of NIN),
Rhys Fulber (Delerium/Conjure One/Frontline Assembly), Mark Wark (Skinny
Puppy/Ogre), Mike Fisher (Machines of Loving Grace/Amish Rake Fight), Kevin Kipnis
(Purr Machine/Kommunity FK), Wade Alin (Christ Analogue), Ian Ross (Flesh
Field) and many, many more...
It also includes the remix that we did for Frontline Assembly, "Predator",
(in which kaRIN also added vocals ) which has always been a song that we have
loved, and we are thrilled to be able to include it.
Lastly, we covered three songs. The very poignant "The Lunatics are Taking
Over the Asylum" by The Funboy 3. The words on this songs are so important
that they just screamed to be re-said. We also covered "Feed me to the Lions"
by Adam and the Ants, and "Haunted" by Love and Rockets.
The official release date is May 18.
We will start pre-sales very soon...
Please check the website for a full track listing. We will post sound
samples very soon.
We will also try to get more active keeping you updated as there is a lot of
exciting things going on with us.
We were just recently nominated for band of the year 2003 from Gothic Beauty
Magazine. Our song "Razor Sharp" is currently #1 in the electronic rankings
on Garageband.com. Also, thanks to Neil at Planetary Vapors, Collide now has a
perfume, its deep and exotic and will be available on the site soon. Lastly,
we have been immortalized in skin...we seem to have inspired a couple of
tattoo's, and they are posted on the website on the stuff page.
As always, if you prefer not to receive any future updates, please just let u
s know.
Thanks to everyone who have voiced their support, bought a CD, or added some
kind words to the guestbook... it REALLY means a lot to us.
Please spread the word around to anyone who you feel would be interested.
Sincerely,
kaRIN & Statik
