Today is a meh day. I've worked for 6 months with Bumblebees, happily getting along, gaily feeding them syrup and pollen and generally having japes. Then, after all this time, I got stung by a honeybee on the way to the campus library. Right on the eyelid. WAAAH!
Nice bit of swelling going on right now, justified a Lucky Strike and an extra 20 minutes lunch break. I'm just glad the blink reflex kicked in when it did, otherwise I'd have a grapefruit in my socket by now.
Let's have a minutes silence for the honeybee that died in it's unjustified attack, let there be peace between the Edd and Bee nations and that such tragedy never happens again in our lifetimes...
