I'm going to see La Roux tonight
I hope her live song is as good as the singles. It's at the Waterfront in Norwich, which is good in itself as the beer is both good and cheap, *AND* you can get super close. Last time, I got so close to CSS that I got lycra burn. I'll try get either photos or wasted and post the results...
Update:
Wow, great gig!
HeartBreak, the support act, were really good, captured the feel of some of the best 80's electronica, hard cold synths with hyperemotional lyrics crying out through it all. La Roux was just great, the girl can really sing well and it all bodes well for the album. Quicksand and In For The Kill are just brilliant songs....
Tried to take pics with my camera but, as usual, there seems to be a hidden gig mode which renders all shots further away than you actually are and syncs the brief moments when the stage lights flash off. Either that or the mixture of beer and emotion was just too much for my thumbs to bear...
