It finally happened, I underwent my PhD viva and survived, so I'm officially now a Dr. ! Hurrah, the wait is over, and the quest to regain my life begins anew. My SG activity was pitifully inadequate over the past few months, but all should be well again now. I am struggling to write anything in my normal prose, the dry language of science pervades all and I can barely pun, let alone jape. My photoshopping skills are piss-poor once more, although I'm thinking of designing a cover for my thesis for a personal copy to give to my parents, so that might inspire me to start up again. My idea at the moment invoives a terrified sickboyedd being pursued by various vespid varmints, but I'll have to get drunk and let the magic happen naturally.

New Manics album out this week, not heard it yet but the NME quote on the adverts seems to suggest it might be alright. Part of me still wishes they'd split up after "Everything Must Go", but hopefully they'll prove otherwise... I quite like the single with Nina from the Cardigans, but I had a terribly dehabilitating crush on her in my teens...
