I just watched Stardust. I hadn't seen it before, and I loved it! Robert De Niro was hilarious, Michelle Pfeiffer was amazing and beautiful as always.

But dear god, I have a huge crush on Claire Danes now.

The pellets were kind of fun I admit. I found a whole mouse in my third one. Better than the surprise toy in a box of Cracker Jacks!

I went to the Science Museum on Saturday to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was really good. I love the Science Museum; I'm completely behind it's mission to educate and engage the public in science, and I think it does a great job. I'd like some more advanced things, though. The material is a little basic for me. I wish they'd let me into the...

We absolutely do not have dollar bills :p
We did in uhhh...1975 or something. The smallest note we have is a $5 bill.
I wonder if it'll still work, cos our money is made out of plastic, so it's all slippery like. I have no bills at the moment but I'll get one and try it out, thanks biggrin

Ha!! That's awesome. Didn't know I was such a fakeout wink

So I got a text message at from the girl I like at 3:30 this morning, telling me she's a lesbian now. Not bi, like she said she was. No, she only likes girls now; she and her straight best friend had just been fucking. Just what I wanted to find out at 3:30 in the morning. In a fucking text message.

What new level...

I shouldn't say that I don't draw, that's not entirely true. I do draw - I'm a good portrait artist and I like to work with conte; I just don't like to be rushed - and that's what is usually expected. When I draw it's on my own time; which is hard to do when I'm caught up pursuing a career in ceramics and jewelry.
I'm taking printmaking next fall so I'm sure I'll receive a fair amount of torture in that category from that. wink

Apart from the items on my Amazon wishlist, I would like the jolly fat man to bring me an AlienBees flash setup and a 17" MacBook Pro with the high-resolution display. These things will help me advance my dream of someday abandoning my lucrative job as a writer in corporate America to be a photographer.

I really should start putting together a portfolio. Maybe...

Why thank you, very much.

It'll be purple, pink, and black tomorrow.

Oh yes, there will be pictures.

My grandmother finally died. She'd been sick a long time, and had been in a residential hospice for the last month or so. I don't know how I feel about it. I'm not sad. Not yet, anyway. More relieved that it's over, and she's not suffering any more.

And guilty because the last time I visited was a week ago last Sunday.

My grandfather will...

I know how you feel about your grandma. Mine is deteriorating rapidly enough into Alzheimer's that a gentle passing would seem a blessing. But I'm sorry that she's gone.

As for the cold, yes, I am a wimp. HARRUMPH!
flux:
It's a joke disguised as an actual belief, or maybe the other way around. But I do like the idea of fucking being a source of cosmic power and woo woo goodness.

And, yes, I too plan to take the Roman path when it comes to that time.

I admit it; I have a thing for redheads. Some attractive women from TV land who have red hair:

  • Laura Prepon, That 70s Show

  • Jennifer Morrison, House

  • Gillian Anderson, The X-Files

  • Alicia Witt, Law and Order: Criminal Intent

Yes, I was pretty excited when I found out that Alicia Witt would be the new detective on Criminal Intent. I've always liked her. Also, she hasn't...

I love that movie! But what suddenly inspired you to send it to me? I am baffled?
trixie:
the whole trying one thing, feeling terrible, getting off and trying another thing does really not sound fun. I wish they could just scan our brains and say okay this is the exact pill that will make you less of nut.
You feel a lot better now though? And it's better for you than being on nothing at all? Wat does the valium do for you>

Chapter Three

The bed and ceiling have become the extent of my world. I'm really spiking. How many days has it been? I can definitely count three; there's no mistaking those three. But looking back, I think it began before then. Monday, probably, was the first. The beginning of the spike. It started off quietly, and built in a thundering crescendo.

It's been a long,...

My roof's good. Well, it's leaking, but I'm supposed to be getting a new one put on in a few weeks to fix that. Hopefully I can convince someone to spray some insulation while they're up there as well. I really do hate the cold - and it's fast approaching.

As for your blog - fuckin' eh.

Chapter Two

(Read Chapter One)

It's Saturday night, and I'm still lying in bed. I took a shower in hopes of going out and getting drunk out of my mind, but I went back to staring at the ceiling, and so far I haven't moved. It's too bad; alcohol would be a good substitute for the unattainable Valium. I could use it more than...

i'd love a big dog, I want a german shepard but the place we're moving into doesn't really have enough room for such a big breed. And they get this nasty flesh eating disease, which is kind of nothing I want to deal with.
Newfoundlands are monsters! In size, not in personality though.

Chapter One

Lying in bed late on a Saturday morning with only my anxiety for company, I wished I had some Valium and could submerge myself in a mindless oblivion. Instead I mused on the events--or maybe a single event, replayed over and over--that brought my life to this point. My thoughts ran through my mind on an endless loop, like a song stuck in...

Hey Man words spoken so truely I have been there for a long time!!
necia:
As it turns out, no. It was taken with an old Polaroid. I bought some film for this camera I'd had kicking around since I got it at a thrift store when I was about eleven, and I never had film for it.

I got about seven shots through the first pack and it freaked out and stopped working. I ruined the last three pics trying to fix it, then put in the second pack of film and got three shots in before it again freaked out. I left the film in there in the hopes that it'll either start working again or I'll get ahold of another one. I know that Polaroid cameras can be had for about $30--but that one was all old and vintagey and cool. frown

And you've actually talked to me, so you're not random anymore. If you've had it with friends, though, do with that what you wish. wink

I'm sorry to hear about the infighting in your head. I hate that.
