Here's some doggerel I spent the morning composing:

There was a time when we knew only joy,
A Time before we ever gave much thought
To your being a girl and I a boy,
When all our hopes and dreams were still unwrought.
Then when we grew up we would always say,
'Soon. When we're done with school; we'll have time then
For the life we've always wanted. Someday,
We'll be together and won't part again.'
Now time has twisted us, and its cruel jest
Was in passing by without ever the chance
For me to ask or for you to say, 'yes.'
All that's left is many a backward glance.
My longing wail wakes me from this nightmare.
I reach for you in the dark, and you're there.

So that's how I spent my morning at work. This afternoon I discovered that my computer has Visio installed on it, so I spent a few hours creating some house plans.

None of this is in any way related to my job.

They worked me into the budget on another project, though, so tomorrow I can start that. But I'll be bringing my iPod just in case.
