I think I managed to kill off all the hornets. I feel somewhat bad about it, as under normal circumstances I would just let them be. They're not nearly as aggresive as people think, the nest wasn't in a place someone could step on it or otherwise distrub it and get himself stung, and hornet nests, unlike bee hives, only live for a year. The would have all died out this fall.

However, they were getting into the house, and that's a problem. It was therefore necessary to destroy them. Ah well.

It's my sister's 18th birthday today. Sometime soon I'm going to take her to St. Sabrina's Parlor in Purgatory to have her earlobes pierced. I know - 18 and doesn't have her ears pierced! She did when she was little, actually, but she's so stubborn and otherwise willful that she wouldn't let anyone take care of them properly, and they had to come out. Now she's old enough to care for them herself.

I considered having something done myself - my tragus, perhaps. But I decided that all of my piercings have been healed for years, and I don't want to bother with a new ear piercing. It's such a pain for them to heal.
